Admissions

Getting into Harvard Medical School requires the highest academic requirements and personal qualifications. Their website lists the following minimum requirements for admission:
  • Predictive measures of success in the study and practice of medicine by way of presented intellectual and personal credentials
  • B.S. in biological and physical sciences supported by a broad education that includes at least 16 hours of study in the humanities and social sciences.
  • Pass the MCAT with a composite score of 11.7 or better (U.S. News & World Report).
  • Demonstration of participation in extracurricular activities, research, and community-service in the field of health care.
  • Acceptance rate: 4.7%.
